BAA! - Making an Ident for BAA 2022 (2/3)
Well, this is earlier than I thought.
So, I just completed my storyboard for BAA 2022. It's about 3 pages long (each page is 9 boards for reference). Now I think about it, I should probably cut this thing down a whole lot - mostly as the range for our submissions is between 4-25 seconds....
Yeah, not good at all. But, I can easily work with this constraint as i have a second idea to work with (that also uses less assets in shot). As usual, my original concept is a bit ambitious for a (at most) 25-second indent for an award show.
My other idea? Well, its not been boarded yet (and would probably only be one page of drawings now I think about it). I'm pretty excited to give this a shot, but I'm also prepared to revise the story so that I a) don't overload myself and b) don't go over the time limit.
As for the blender work, I've gotten the rig fixes completed for the sheep! On top of this, I started playing with Blender's particle systems to try and create some grass for the sheep to stand in - which went well (totally didn't forget to put in a light at all):
As you can tell, I am 100% certain that these assets are gonna go unused, but that'd be because of me.
I have completed other assets, however they aren't really in shape to be used up close (and are also mostly obscured by other objects or really far away). Well, not all of the objects, I do have a pretty decent bucket and paint brush....

I'm still undecided over whether I should use my mesh or particle brushes, but I'm proud of both creations a whole lot. I'm looking forward to lighting the scene, but I'm also kinda scared that I'll mess this up.
For now, I will make a second storyboard idea so that I have at least something that will fit the time range.
